The seasonal music series Friday on the Green resumes tonight, and the weather forecast, band lineup, and after-party are making my whistle yearn to be wet.

The first show of the season begins at 7 p.m. at Magnolia Green Park, 1201 Lipscomb St.

Oil Boom headlines. Check out their song “45 Revolutions Per Minute.”

Openers are the make-you-wanna-dance Ronnie Heart and the soulful Leon Bridges & The Texas Gentlemen.

Hearsay describes Bridges as “Fort Worth’s Answer to Sam Cooke.” That sounds pretty great. Maybe after tonight’s performance the band will be famous enough to warrant a Facebook page.

The show is free.

Spirits and edibles available on site.
