A Fort Worth-based fashion company is featured in today’s edition of Valet, an independently published men’s webzine. American Viceroy’s new line of cotton shirts and pants is inspired by pajamas. Jerry James, who co-owns the company with David Dewese –– the duo also is otherwise known as the band Foxymorons –– tells Valet, “Growing up, I remember not wanting to change out of my pajamas. They were worn and slightly out-grown, but I felt like a million bucks.” Casual, idiosyncratic, and a tad preppy, the magazine says, American Viceroy’s “pieces are more Wes Anderson than Hugh Hefner.” “Yeah,” James says, “Hefner is the antithesis of what we’re doing.” The clothes are currently available only in New York and L.A.
