We’ve extensively chronicled the exploits of Fort Worth filmmaker Andrew Disney as he’s made ripples on the festival circuit and in the online community of filmmakers. Now comes the latest piece of news about his upcoming movie Searching for Sonny. He’ll kick off the filming with a party at Ginger Man on May 3 to announce the name talent he’s secured to appear in the movie. The comic thriller will be filming in Fort Worth through the next couple of months.
By the way, last year Disney told me that he took part of his inspiration for Sonny from Rian Johnson’s Brick. Seeing as that movie was one of my favorites of 2006, I’m excited to see Disney’s work will turn out. Here are further links on the technical ground this movie has already broken.
