This past Sunday, the west end of Amon G. Carter Stadium, home of the No. 3 Rose Bowl-bound TCU Horned Frogs, was imploded as part of a $105 million renovation project that will expand the stadium’s capacity by a few thou. Though the renovation won’t be complete until 2012, TCU will continue playing home games there. The annual Armed Forces Bowl, which typically takes place at Amon G. Carter, has been moved to SMU’s stadium. The upper deck of the west end was built in 1956. Thanks to Weekly employee Ashlyn Smith for providing the accompanying multimedia.
