I hope you’re happy, Arlington tourism officials. The city’s police have been forced to put a “no refusal” policy in place for DWI suspects during this week’s spring break. I think we all know the reason for this “zero tolerance” measure: Arlington has developed an international reputation for drunken debauchery and New Orleans-sized decadence, thanks to that “Downtown Arlington” logo and tourism campaign introduced last year. The hypnotic multi-colored letters on those signs might as well spell “Sin Central” now that the city has become a spring break destination to rival Cancun and Padre Island. Their previous reputation as “the Dallas suburb where Cowboys Stadium was built” doesn’t look so bad now, does it?
