What’s the deal with Jeep owners placing rubber ducks on each other’s vehicles? It’s called “Jeep Ducking” or “Duck Duck Jeep.” The tradition began in 2020, when Allison Parliament, a woman from Ontario, Canada, placed a rubber duck on a fellow Jeep owner’s vehicle with a note that said, “Nice Jeep. Have a great day!” After the recipient posted about the experience on social media with the hashtag #DuckDuckJeep, the idea went viral and became a worldwide movement. One local community group, North Texas Jeep Club, is cutting out the middleman with a meetup at a new local Duck Donuts franchise (6387 Camp Bowie Blvd, Ste A, Fort Worth, 682-224-3986). Jeeps, Ducks & Donuts meets from 9am to 11am on the second Saturday of every month to show off their rides and enjoy coffee and donuts. There’s no cost to attend.

While they ended up using a ferret in The Big Lebowski bathtub scene, The Dude shouting, “Nice marmot!” is still hilarious. At the annual Lebowski Fest at Martin House Brewing (220 S Sylvania Av, Ste 209, 817-222-0177) noon-5pm, you’ll meet dudes dressed as The Dude, drink White Russian-inspired beer, meet some real ferrets from Texas Ferret Lovers Rescue, and hear live music by Whiskey Boy. Oh Balls food truck will be on-site. The event is free to attend, but if you’re drinking, then the $20 wristband is the way to go. It covers you on a souvenir glass and four pours of beer or seltzers.
