Native to Uganda, the mutuba is a ficus tree known not for its figs but rather for its bark, which can be pounded into a beautiful cloth without the environmentally hazardous process of chemical treatment. UNT Art Gallery’s exhibit of goods made from this bark remains up through the weekend.
