For whatever reason, there are a lot of local fundraising events happening on Thursday this week, so you may have to make a hard choice when it comes to where you want to bestow your largesse. Maybe this item will help you decide.

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra’s Painted Violins: Symphonic Strokes event includes live music, food, cocktails, and an auction of violins painted with colorful designs by local artists. The funds will go toward the orchestra’s Adventures in Music program and not toward resolving its pay dispute with its musicians, but you can certainly voice your opinion on that here.

Arts Council of Northeast Tarrant County holds its annual Taste of Northeast, holding a food tasting, art show, and silent auction to continue the MasterWorks series that provides arts performances in smaller venues across the county’s outlying areas.

Making a rare foray into the world of dinner theater, Jubilee Theatre is putting on a one-time performance of Obituary, Akin Babatundé’s one-man play about an eccentric who attends strangers’ funerals. Once again, there is food, so wherever you choose, you’ll be well thanked, and well fed.
