The April meeting of the North Central Texas Communities Alliance will take place this Thursday, April 8. The meeting will take place at the Studio Movie Grill, 225 Merchants Row in Arlington.

The NCTCA, which is working to get best industry practices in place in Barnett Shale drilling, is using the Studio Movie Grill because this month’s meeting is a fund raiser. The focus of the evening will be a showing of “Split Estate”, an award-winning documentary narrated by Ali McGraw that delves into the issues and problems facing surface land owners who do not own their mineral rights in West Texas.

Ticket prices range from $12 for students and seniors, $15 for general admission, $25 for preferred seating and $50 for Movie Star Supporter.

  1. This is a must see for anyone living in the Barnett Shale who has heard nothing but industry and boomer propaganda.

    Be there.

  2. The ” SPlit Estate ” is an outstanding film about how the Industry while claiming to be concerned for people exhibits all to often total disregard. The issues of environmental risk and risk to people’s health is revealing. This film is an eye opener a film everyone in the Brnett Shale area should see.
