Fort Worth Misses the Streetcar

Though Fort Worth and Dallas filed a joint application for federal funds, only Dallas got the nod.

I agree with Ms. Hicks, it is frustrating when we see this sort of fraudulent
"programming" for funds only to benefit a very few people. Whenever the
Trinity Uptown/TRV project runs short of money the city staff and mayor
Munchcrief steal it from where ever they can find a few extra bucks....usually
our pockets in the form of extra "fees" and charges on our water
bills.

Well, it looks like the Feds were on to them this time! It would also
seem as though we have lots of trouble spending federal dollars (see the HUD
story in the Weekly) in the manner it is intended....and as a result end up
loosing valuable funding because we just can't seem to stop playing silly little
games downtown.

When, Oh when will our city return to a more honest way of
representing the citizens? Perhaps May of 2011!
